  lost weekend: update drunk date: saturday.

made it out to the hill, $80 for a half day and rentals. insanse, thats about what i spent on a couple rounds last night though, there will be pictures once we figure this wi-fi thing out. as it turns out though the cable i grabed from darren's won't hook up to my camera so those will have to wait till monday night.

thursday night was a Gong SHOW! and it continues on until this very day. this very day.

  no one knows well i'm alive, as to how i'm not sure.
roads = death
its cold icy, and i think i'm still pretty cut from last night, i only slept for what maybe an hour and a half.

but in the end it is all good, i got my cup-o-joe, my photo tie (so lame, so so lame)
and somehow i'm going to have to manage getting to the bank before it closes today.

so, Brado's. good food, good beer, two meals and 3 full jugs under 50 bones, and all within a 4 minute stumble from home. this could be bad news.. or could it?

  hello old friend Well, since every one i know and their dog is either busy thease days with work, drinking or playing World of Warcraft. I figured there is never a better time then now to go back and visit an old friend, one who treated me good for a month but then couldn;t hold my interest due to constantly asking for money.. you know the type, MMO's they go by now, but back then in 2002 (has it been 3 years??) MMORPG was the term. I digress; not at all.

So Anyway as i'm surfing around this funny little place called the "work safe" version of the internet, i find a banner add (not that odd really, happens every few seconds) but it was for something that i enjoyed. and is now .. well you should just go and check it out.

In the time honoured tradition of going back through all that I had purchased and enjoyed in 2004, i have pretty much paired it all down to this numbered list. 10 Long Play albums, that you should get your grubby little hands on and ears into . . or so the saying shall now go;

number 10: Maps of the Night Sky "twilighters ep"


Maps of the Night Sky, out of the town of Tdot, they rocked me to my very core, and some how coerced this cd into my life as opposed to another round of the drink.

number 9: JELLO BIAFRA & THE MELVINS "Never Breathe What You Can't See"


So you want loud? and punk? and you want it done right? if so.. this is the cd for you, if i have to tell you who either jello or the melvins are, then how have you even come to be my friend?

number 8:Auf Der Maur "Auf Der Maur"

The First rocked out bassest on this list that i had the blessing to listen too in a long while, and it made my year go by just that much faster, pick it up, and enjoy

number 7: The Sadies "Favorite Colours"

So, your into alt-country, eh? give this a good spin, and if your not then you really need to hear this album.

number 6: Mike Watt "the secondmen's middle stand"

Mike Watt, this man can jam, and does. need i say more? no.

number 5: John Frusciante "Shadows Collide with People"

John recaptures his adventursome spirit that held me captive on "Smile From the Streets You Hold" but keeps the vibe and good graces to make this album even more listenable then the last.

number 4: Elliott Smith "from a basement on a hill"

There is nothing I could tell you that you shouldn't already know.

number 3: Eugene Kelly "Man Alive"

Eugene, please come to Canada, its not that cold.. in the summer

number 2: Wilco "a ghost is born"

Sometimes i wonder why we even call these guys indie rock. .

number 1a: Nirvana "With the Lights Out"

Nothing on here but great lo-fi copies of stuff that you would to have loved to have heard finished, and some you did, and you did. Not for you arverage fan i 'spose

number 1b: Late Great Daniel Johnston: Discovered Covered

With disk 1 being covers done by everyones favorite indie rock hero's, disk two is the origionals, and they shine like nothing has before.

number 1c: Joey Cape/Tony Sly "Acoustic"

best album all year hands down. thats it.

  Aptly titled blog Talk about not being on the same page..
what a day i tells ya.

So friday during my contract negotiations we are maybe a smigion away from each other, and I'm willing to move that simgion.

Today however it is like they were reading from an entirely different book

for example:
I asked for: 20400 /year Gross + vacation pay
they offered: 19200 /year Gross including vacation pay

not to far off, definitely something that is a workable solution
they come back today with: 14000 / year Gross including vacation pay

I don't know exactly how that is supposed to make me feel, but I'm gonna find me a job where I'm not being bent over i think..
lets see I'm taking on more responsability, doing more work, and have a lot more to answer for, and they feel the need to give me a 25 cent an hour raise and put my vacation pay in as a bonus..

something tells me this is very very wrong.
