10 I fell in love with the song Counter Culture on a random downloading binge. I was never able to look back . . .
9 I’m blaming my enjoyment and lust for this album purely on the CBC radio 3 podcast’s
8 http://www.melvins.com / http://www.themelvins.net Unlike some I know, I had a strange desire for this album the moment it hit my turn table. Maybe I just really miss Buzz
7 http://www.themagicnumbers.net This brother, sister, with sister, brother combo makes me feel like a piece of heaven is in my ears.
6 For when you just need to enjoy a great pop song in a super mellow mood. This album delivered in every way possible.
5 Listen, the songs speak for themselves.
4 I’m mostly just surprised this didn’t place higher on the list. Since before I loaned my dad the CD it was my most played album
3 Why do they make Steve hate them so? Yet lust for them even more? Why must I fall for a band that I know hates me?
2 An excellent follow up to 2004’s Fabulous Muscles, but even more so, made me remember why I enjoy pretentious bands.
1 http://www.thenewpornographers.com/ Is it safe to say that we all love Neko Case, and I think that really, I don’t need to reiterate anything about my lust for Kurt Dahle? |
I know it is posted early, as in pre-mid January but I don’t really see much coming out in the next two weeks that catch my eye. It is a bit of a shame I know, also I refuse to discuss the order, or artists that I have chosen. I will however divulge that it must be a studio album and not a live album… So there that is.
So with all due respect honorable mention goes out too:
Bright Eyes
Rumbleseat
31Knots
Kanye West
Jerry Fels
Whity Huston
Sleater-Kinney
Black Eyed Peas
Nine Black Alps
Will posting my definative top ten of Two Thousand And Five come back to bite me in the ass? Two thousand and six has new Mudhoney and Sonic Youth to get me through it, although we shall only see how it pans out
